Workflow Wonders: Connetics
Empowering field service teams with digital solutions
Featuring Carson Cox, Supply Chain Business Analyst at Connetics, and Marc de Kock, VP of Consulting Services at LakeTree, Nintex Certified Partner
Connetics provides construction and maintenance services of overhead and underground lines and associated equipment for the delivery of utility and infrastructure services across New Zealand.
The field teams at Connetics traditionally relied on paper-based processes, which lacked process visibility, were cumbersome, and often prone to error. Large amounts of manual rework and data capture would be required to update core systems, limiting the teams’ ability to extend their job management capabilities to the field.
Supported by Nintex Certified Partner LakeTree, Connetics implemented Nintex K2 Cloud, which is integrated with its SAP system. By digitising and automating its paper order forms, contractors and other team members no longer need to manually input data into SAP, which has dramatically reduced the time it takes to both order and receive goods. Organisational visibility is also greatly improved across the entire process value chain, allowing supervisors to track material orders and manage their projects more efficiently.
Since then, Connetics has extended the use of Nintex K2 Cloud to other parts of the business, including an automated work management system, and a health and safety and risk management compliance process.
