“Business improvement is our constant goal,” says Jan Kavalír, IT Manager for CEZ Group. The organization purchased Nintex Workflow in 2015 to help it automate workflows and drive business improvements across more than forty subsidiary companies and business units.
The energy that CEZ Group has put into this drive for business improvement is very evident. To date, the organization has created over 3,000 workflows and 3,500 forms using the Nintex platform.
One key workflow is a health and safety improvement solution that allows employees to report safety concerns and suggest measures to address them. The solution is used daily by employees throughout the group, and more than 7,000 health and safety, fire or environmental protection recommendations have been actioned through the workflow in less than three years.
Efficiency gains across the business
The use of Nintex has undoubtedly led to improvements in business efficiency throughout the group. The thousands of Nintex-based workflows that are in production accelerate processes and automate manual tasks, freeing up employees to work on other business activities.
To support business reporting, for example, CEZ Group has created a workflow to collate and share business performance data. The automated process starts every night, counts sets of predefined business indicators based on thousands of datasets, and compiles the information into a user-friendly report. It then dispatches this report to a defined group of relevant managers by email daily. This Nintex-based workflow saves at least one person one and half hours of manual effort a day, which is the equivalent of over 45 working days every year.
