About the role:
Graduate Engineers are high in potential and are at the start of their engineering careers. You will work on well-defined tasks across multiple domains: software engineering, devops, data engineering, artificial intelligence and test automation. You will successfully contribute to the teams by asking a lot of questions and picking up development, quality, operations, and delivery fundamentals.
You will deliver well-defined individual tasks in collaboration with senior engineers. Close guidance and technical mentoring will help you avoid getting blocked or stuck. You will take ownership of your work, learn, and accept feedback for improvement. This role will be Hybrid based in our Johannesburg offices.
Your contribution will be:
- You are proficient in fixing simple bugs in code (functional, pipeline or test automation), configurations, or deployment of a service or application.
- You take well-defined minor sub-tasks and complete them (e.g., debug and fixing code, scripts, or infrastructure issues in pre-production environments).
- You use the appropriate toolchain (IDE and other utilities) to increase productivity during development and debugging.
- You engage positively when assigned a novel task and use the opportunity to expand your knowledge of development, operations, and delivery concepts.
- You enthusiastically engage with new teams, crafts, and disciplines as your duties require and learn from each the unique skill sets, terminology, and Nintex practices of their discipline.
To be successful, we think you need:
- A completed degree in Computer Science or similar, is highly preferred.
- Programing Language preferred – C#, Node.js or Python.
- Exposure to Web Development i.e HTML, CSS, React.
- Database exposure i.e MySQL, MongoDB.
- Tools & Platforms the teams are using and highly beneficial if you have it i.e Git, GitHub, Docker etc.
- Basic overview of concepts i.e Data Structures & Algorithms, OOP & REST APIs
