Your contribution will be:
- Lead and mentor a team of engineers, promoting professional growth and accountability.
- Oversee the end-to-end development lifecycle for mobile applications, including planning, execution, testing, and deployment.
- Implement tools like synthetic monitoring and CI/CD pipelines to enhance system reliability and efficiency.
- Reduce technical debt and streamline processes to improve long-term scalability.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to align mobile strategy with business objectives.
- Advocate for hiring and resource allocation to address skill gaps and reduce external dependencies.
- Drive innovation by exploring cutting-edge technologies and integrating them into product offerings.
To be successful, we think you need:
- Proven experience of leading and mentoring engineers,to successfully deliver high quality software
- Experience of building and shipping mobile apps
- Strong understanding of mobile development best practices, including design patterns, architecture, testing frameworks (unit, integration, UI), and performance optimization
- Experience with Agile development methodologies (Scrum, Kanban) and proven ability to manage all phases of the software development lifecycle, from planning and execution to delivery and maintenance
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to identify and resolve challenges, mentor team members, and drive continuous improvement within the engineering team
Nice to have:
- Java/Kotlin Android app development skill
- ObjectiveC/Swift iOS app development skill
