About the role: 

The Regional HR Manager, Americas, will play a pivotal role in ensuring compliance with labor laws in the US & Canada, implementing effective HR policies and procedures, managing employee benefits programs as necessary, and fostering a positive and productive work environment. Reporting to the Global HR Manager, the incumbent will collaborate closely with Business Partnerships to support the company's strategic objectives while maintaining a strong focus on employee engagement and satisfaction. 

Your contribution will be:  

  • Regional Compliance: Stay abreast of federal, state, and provincial employment laws and regulations in the US and Canada. Develop and implement HR policies and procedures to ensure compliance with relevant legislation. Conduct regular audits to assess compliance levels and address any areas of concern promptly.
  • Employee Relations: Serve as a trusted advisor and mediator in resolving employee relations issues, conflicts, and grievances. Work with Business HR on these issues as necessary. Implement strategies to maintain a positive and inclusive work environment, fostering employee engagement and morale.
  • Benefits & Compensation: Provide regional expertise around benefits and compensation strategy and administration. Manage employee benefits programs, including health insurance, retirement plans, required reporting & compliance filings, and other fringe benefits as necessary. Collaborate with Total Rewards team as necessary. 
  • Talent Management: Liaise with HR Business Partners and hiring managers to support talent acquisition efforts, succession planning, and workforce development strategies. Identify high-potential employees and implement programs for their growth and retention.
  • Immigration & Work Authorization: Manage immigration and work authorization process and provide expertise in these areas as needed.

To be successful, we think you need:  

  • Bachelor's degree in human resources, Business Administration, or a related field; Master's degree or HR certification (e.g., SHRM-CP, PHR) preferred.
  • 5 years of progressive HR experience, with a focus on compliance, benefits administration, and employee relations.
  • In-depth knowledge of US and Canadian employment laws and regulations.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build rapport and influence stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
  • Proven experience in managing complex employee relations issues with discretion and professionalism.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
