We spend a lot of time thinking about cloud and SaaS services like any modern software company. Equally important to everyone at Nintex are the thousands of customers and partners worldwide who leverage our on-premises solutions, including Nintex for SharePoint and our recently acquired technology from K2 Software known as Nintex K2 Five.
Within our January 12th blog – What’s on the horizon: New Nintex features in 2021! – we shared our vision for our on-prem solutions as well as the level of continued support and innovation you can expect from us over the years ahead. I encourage you to read this post, especially if you missed it!
Now let’s review our commitments to you by our on-premises products.
Our commitment to Nintex for SharePoint (on-prem & hybrid environments)
Nintex has a long-standing successful partnership with Microsoft, supporting Nintex Workflow and Forms on SharePoint 2010, 2013, 2016, 2019, and we plan to continue integrating with future versions of SharePoint as they become available.
Nintex has also been recognized by Microsoft as its Office and SharePoint Application Development Partner of the Year and have won Microsoft App Awards for six consecutive years.
One of our utmost intentions is to work closely with the teams at Microsoft to ensure the best experience for our on-premises customers and partners for years to come.

We’re also aware that many on-premises customers are interested in leveraging more cloud services over the next few years, and we’re excited to share our plans on that front.
By mid-2021, we will offer a hybrid solution to our SharePoint on-premises customers that allows automation to be built in Nintex Workflow Cloud® while still housing all assets and outcomes in SharePoint on-premises sites your employees know and love.
This allows customers to leverage the latest Nintex workflow and forms technology, pass the data through a highly secure gateway, and easily embed the forms, tasks and list entries directly in SharePoint.
For those on-premises customers interested in moving to the cloud over time, we’re working on frictionless tools and support to help you transition to Nintex Workflow Cloud when the time is right for your business.
Over the next several months, we will continue adding more functionality to Nintex Workflow Cloud, as well as build guided upgrade tooling that allows organizations to move workflows and forms from SharePoint On-Premises to the Nintex Workflow Cloud with minimal effort or rebuilding.
You will see a rolling thunder set of releases rather than a big bang – and we expect this upgrade capability will be available towards the end of 2021.
We’ll share regular updates as we progress.
