Five key insights from NintexConnect 2024

Fresh off the unveiling of our bold new brand, Nintex kicked off its annual international roadshow: NintexConnect. In 2024, we gathered in Riyadh, London, Paris, Melbourne, Sydney, and Singapore to discuss the latest and greatest in process automation, talk through your biggest business challenges, and share sneak peeks into what’s new (and what’s next) at Nintex.

As always, each event was an opportunity for Nintex users like you to connect with global process automation thought leaders, network with peers in their region, get insights into their challenges, and walk away with actionable strategies to help them reach their specific corporate goals.

While each city we visited had its own unique spirit, and market considerations varied by region, we noticed some common themes across all six NintexConnect 2024 events.

In our post-Connect conversations, we were able to distill what you shared with us into five key insights we’ll turn to again and again as we help customers power up productivity in 2025 and beyond:

1. Businesses like yours are under a lot of pressure to increase efficiency

There’s pressure to grow, to scale, to do more with less, to adopt new technologies, and to remain compliant with ever-increasing regulations. From CEOs to line-of-business leaders to individual contributors, the relief to that pressure comes down to one thing: Efficiency. When we polled Connect attendees in Melbourne, Singapore, and Sydney, they all named “maintaining operational efficiency” as the most significant business challenge they’re facing today.

What’s more, 40% of business and IT leaders we surveyed recently said that operational efficiency is their top objective. How they achieve that objective varies by circumstance … maybe tasks need to be completed faster, or their teams need to get more done with fewer people, or they need to break down silos between technology and data.

Regardless, businesses find that manual processes and disconnected systems are the fundamental blockers to increased efficiency.

2. SaaS sprawl is exacerbating your efficiency challenges

Data tells us that mid-market businesses are adding an average of six new apps a month to their tech stacks. That’s more than 70 new apps a year!

Many of these represent incremental point solutions that employees are using to solve specific business tasks. They don’t connect cross-departmentally, and they don’t scale. They might enable an individual employee to be more productive, but at an organizational level, they’re actually slowing you down. They’re also hampering your ability to capitalize on AI breakthroughs that are right around the corner.

3. AI adoption without process automation is a recipe for chaos

We aren’t talking enough about the broader implications of workflows and processes on AI adoption. Yes, the promise of AI is huge. And it isn’t lurking in the future. 73% of businesses have already started using AI in some form or fashion. But without a solid foundation of process automation as a prerequisite to AI adoption, AI won’t make your organization more efficient. It will just scale your inefficiencies.

At its core, AI accelerates the way work gets done, right? So, if you haven’t solved for efficiency and software sprawl before applying AI at scale, you’ll just end up with shoddy work done faster.

By automating processes before applying AI, organizations can benefit from enhanced efficiency, more structured workflows and data, and added scalability and flexibility. Imagine your organization with inefficiencies eliminated, data flowing seamlessly, and AI accelerating innovation rather than chaos. That’s the future we’re enabling with Nintex.

4. End-to-end process automation is the secret to your success

End-to-end process automation is the key to improving efficiency, adopting AI the right way, and achieving your business goals … and with Nintex, it’s easy. By automating your processes end to end on a single platform, you can solve a variety of challenges for a variety of roles in a variety of ways. The Nintex platform is helping companies around the world unlock value and possibilities they’ve never seen. Work becomes frictionless, and that creates momentum to propel business forward.

Best of all? Implementing Nintex is as easy as child’s play:

“It turns Mr. Messy into Mr. Neat, Mr. Tidy, Mr. Organized,” said Kathryn Berrill, Head of Governance at Dixon’s Academy
